1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly and information generated through your use of UP2.
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, username, and profile photo. Business and Government accounts also provide an organization name, category or government level, contact phone number, contact email, and address.
Verification Information: Business accounts provide a registered business name and business registry number, which we check against official business registries. Government accounts verify an official government email address.
Content You Post: This includes listings, events, photos, descriptions, pricing, dates, and location data associated with your published content.
Messages: We store chat messages you send and receive through UP2's messaging system, including text, images, and other media.
Location Data: With your permission, we collect your device location to show nearby listings and events. You can disable location access in your device settings at any time.
Payment Information: When you subscribe or purchase credits, your payment details are processed by our third-party payment provider. We store transaction records, billing history, and subscription status, but we do not store your full card number.
Usage & Analytics: We collect information about how you use the app, including pages viewed, features used, search queries, and interaction patterns. This helps us improve UP2.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account.
- Verify Business and Government accounts.

- Deliver relevant local and global content based on your location.
- Process subscription payments and credit purchases.

- Enforce our Terms of Service and prevent fraud or abuse.
- Respond to support requests.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in the following circumstances:
With Other Users: Your public profile, listings, and events are visible to other UP2 users. Messages are visible to conversation participants.
Service Providers: We share data with trusted third-party providers who help us operate UP2, including payment processors, cloud hosting, analytics services, and business registry verification services. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of UP2 or its users.
Business Transfers: If UP2 is acquired, merged, or sold, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
4. Location Data
UP2 uses location data to show you nearby listings and events and to help businesses and organizations reach local users. Location data is collected only when you grant permission through your device settings.
We use your approximate location to determine your local area. We do not continuously track your precise location in the background. You can revoke location permission at any time through your device settings, though some features may be limited without it.
Friend Location Sharing: UP2 includes an optional feature that lets you share your live location with friends on the map. It is off by default and shares your location only with the mutual friends you choose, and only while you have it turned on. You can stop at any time, and we never sell your location data.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, regulatory, or fraud prevention purposes.
Verification information (business registry details and verified government email addresses) is retained for the duration of your account to support ongoing verification status. It is deleted within 30 days of account closure.
Chat messages are retained for the duration of your account. When you delete a message, it is removed from your view but may be retained in the recipient's conversation history.
Published content (listings and events) is removed when you unpublish it or when your account is closed. Cached versions may persist briefly in our systems.
