FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

UP2 is a social app for making plans. You can see plans and events happening around you, make plans with friends, chat, discover local places and worldwide events, and — if you choose — see your friends on a shared map.

Yes. Personal accounts are completely free. Businesses and organizations that want to publish listings and events use a paid subscription.

UP2 is coming soon to the App Store for iPhone. An Android version follows after launch. Keep an eye on this website — the download button will go live the moment the app does.

Anyone can create a plan — a title, a photo, a time, and a place — and invite friends. Invitations appear in your friends' Plans feed, where they can say they're going, save it for later, or pass the invite along to more friends.

Forwarding only works between mutual friends, and the plan's creator can turn forwarding off entirely. You always see who invited you.

Nobody, until you decide otherwise. Location sharing is off by default. If you turn it on, only mutual friends can see you — and you can narrow it down to specific friends you choose.

You can pause or stop sharing at any time and it takes effect immediately. Blocking someone, or the two of you no longer following each other, ends location sharing between you automatically.

Only mutual friends — people you follow who also follow you back. Strangers can't start a chat with you or add you to groups.

With a private account, people must send you a follow request that you approve before they can see your profile details, lists, and followers. You can switch between private and public anytime in Settings → Privacy.

Open their profile and use the menu in the top corner to block or report. Blocking removes you from each other's experience: no messages, no invitations, no location sharing, no profile access.

You can also report individual messages and manage your blocked list in Settings → Privacy.

In the app, go to Settings and choose Delete Account at the bottom. Your personal information is deleted within 30 days, as described in our Privacy Policy.

If you can't access the app, email privacy@up2app.com and we'll take care of it.

Verified accounts for real businesses — restaurants, cafés, venues, shops, organizers — that publish listings and events people discover in the Local and Global tabs. Every business is verified against its official registry number before it can publish. Read more on the For Businesses page.

Cities, municipalities, provinces, and government departments get a special verified account type, confirmed through an official government email address. They use it to publish public events and community programs.

Thank you! Use Report a Problem in the app's Settings → Support section, or email support@up2app.com. A screenshot and a short description of what you were doing makes fixes much faster.
