UP2 exists so friends can make real plans and actually go. These guidelines keep it a place worth showing up to. They apply to everything on UP2 — plans, messages, profiles, photos, listings, and events — and to every account type: personal, business, and government.
1. Be yourself
Use your real identity. Don't impersonate another person, business, or government organization, and don't create fake accounts. Businesses and governments on UP2 go through verification for exactly this reason — people should always know who they're dealing with.
2. Respect each other
No harassment, bullying, threats, or intimidation. No hate speech or content that attacks people for who they are — including race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or age. Disagreeing is fine; degrading people is not.
3. Keep plans honest
Plans and events should be real. Don't post fake, misleading, or fraudulent plans, listings, or events. Don't use invitations or forwarding to spam people. If you say there's a party, there'd better be a party.
4. Protect people's privacy
Don't share someone else's personal information — their location, address, phone number, photos, or messages — without their permission. Location sharing on UP2 is a choice each person makes for themselves; never pressure someone into sharing theirs.
5. Keep it legal and safe
No content that is obscene, sexually exploitative, or that promotes violence, self-harm, or illegal activity. No selling prohibited goods or services. No malware, scams, phishing, or attempts to break the platform's security.
6. Rules for businesses and organizations
Business listings and events must accurately describe what's offered — real photos, real hours, real prices. Government accounts must publish official, accurate information within their own jurisdiction, and may not use the platform for political campaigning or personal purposes.
7. What happens when rules are broken
We review reports and act on them. Depending on severity, we may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or permanently close accounts — with or without warning. Serious matters, such as threats of harm, may be referred to law enforcement.
8. Help us keep UP2 good
If you see something that breaks these rules, report it — every profile and message has a report option, and blocking is always available. You can also reach us anytime at support@up2app.com.
